A tribute to the planet's destruction

Kill capitalism before it kills the planet

Non-government organizations

By the end of 20th century somewhere between the bankruptcy of the social state and the domination of the privatization, the non-government organizations (NGO) appear as non-profit service providers with ecological and humanitarian worries, or as information providers among the Internet. The action of the NGOs criticizes the major multinational companies and resist to the economic organizations (WTO, WB, etc). For example at least 1500 NGOs signed the Seattle's manifestations and others participated to the meeting in Prague. So good so far! But it makes us worried that they appear constantly from the media, and even these major organizations ask for help from these NGOs. Seventy specialists of some NGOs that in 1994 yelled, "50 years of World Bank is enough", now works for them! Executives from the WWF are suspected for cooperating with companies like Monsato, Exxon, Union Carbide, while many NGOs, in order to find economic support, are financed by companies like General Motors or Dow Chemical. The former executive of the Greenpeace's department in Greece is now deputy minister of environment. In EU there are about 1000000 NGOs while there are about 26000 that are worldwide actively.

As far as their functioning is concerned, the decisions and political profile are determined by a small group of executives (leader core), while the members' role is to pay the subscriptions, and co-sign the big campaigns which are predecided. No to mention the co-shaping of the opinions, the hierarchy and the political issues. NGOs never talk about authority or total doubtness of the system, but only for reformations. The give people the illusion of involvement in social life -with the appropriate fee of course- without demanding any risk or contradiction. We copy an abstract from a Greek leaflet called "Trith Genia" (third generation), issue 31:

The new kind of social control is said to be the non government indirect partner of governments in capitalism. Like specialized executives, researchers, and solution providers, like hidden foreign ministers, or just like idealism producers, NGOs already participate in the smooth reformation of capitalism and state.

Greenpeace: not enough media in Chague

The leader executives of ecological-sensibility construction decided to withdraw from the manifestations against the meeting, due to lack of publicity. Somehow the struggles against environment disasters is degraded to a pursuit of impressions where the means, that is publicity, is more important then the resistance. Moreover, resistance is cut off from its natural flow, which is the people that will realize it. On the contrary, many people marched to the meeting center in Chague, disregarding the police, with only motive the urgent need to contradict to the paranoid plans of the planet's elite.
